Chef’s Tables

The Century Bar & Grill’s Chef’s Tables presents the best of both worlds: the coziness of an interior space offering a direct view to our chef’s kitchen and the sensation of being out of doors created through our décor. Settle into one of our oversized banquettes and succumb to the aromas emanating from the kitchen while watching a culinary artist at work.

The ambience of Chef’s Tables is moored in our 17-foot-wide, 7-foot-high painting portraying the breathtaking beauty of the high desert mountains of the Big Bend. The image, the crown jewel of the venue, is by Xavier Gonzales, one of the most important artists in the region’s history. Gonzales was a primary leader of the Sul Ross Art Colonies in the early days of the university, and this artistically significant canvas from the 1930s, previously displayed in Alpine’s City Hall and the Museum of the Big Bend, now graces the spacious east wall of Chef’s Tables.

Pamper yourself in the lush atmosphere of Chef’s Tables and dine on the most mouthwatering, artistically prepared cuisine in the region.
